RESOLUTION N0. 65-37
RESOLUTION OF THE CIT� COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNDIOOD APPOINTING A MEMBER AND ALTERNATE MEM-
BER TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COUNTY SANI-
TATION DISTRICT N0. 1 OF LOS ANGELES COUiJTY.
WHEREAS, the County Sanitation District Act, as amended
b,y Statutes of 19�19, Chapter 882, contains the following provisions:
That the governing body of a sanitation district is a
board of directors of not less than three members, a member of the
governing body of each City, the whole or part of which is included
in the sanitation district, is a member of the board, and
WHEREAS, County Sanitation District No. 1 of Los Angeles
County does include territory of the City of Lynwood,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that N. A. Siokos, a
member of the City Council of the City of Lynwood, be and he is
hereby appointed to serve as a member of the,Board of Directors of '
County Sanitation District No. 1 of Los Angeles County, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLUED that Joseph A. McMillan, a member
of the City Council of the City of Lynwood be, and he is hereby
selected and designated as an alternate member of the Board of
Directors of County Sanitation District No. 1 of Los Angeles County,
iaho shall be a member of said District Board to act in place of the
presiding officer of this City Council during his absence, inability,
or refusal to act as such member of said District Board.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of May 1965.
