SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The photocopier presently in City Hall is under lease from Ikon Office Solutions, with the lease expiration
due in June 2012. The opportunity to end the current lease early without penalty was presented to us by
Ikon, and staff felt that it would be in the City's interest to switch to a different copier if possible.
We obtained a variety of proposals from three vendors. One vendor ended their sales franchise during the
process. Of the other two proponents, Ikon presented the lowest overall cost proposal with higher
performance equipment. A Ricoh Aficio MPC5501 was selected.
Because the proposed equipment lease is with the same company, the 2008 State and Local Government
Master Agreement (previously signed and also clean legible copies attached) will remain in force, but is
modified by an addendum which addresses several concerns expressed by the City Attorney.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the contract with Ikon Office Solutions for the lease of a Ricoh MPC5501 copier and authorize
the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
