The property is located on the western side of Route J approximately 900 feet north of Algoa Road and is described as part of Section 29, Township 44 North, Range 10 West, City of Jefferson, Cole County, Missouri. Mr. Russell Mueller, 3307 Route J, spoke regarding this request and explained that the purpose of this request is to construct a single family residential development on the subject property. No one spoke in opposition to this request. Mr. Barron gave the Planning Division staff report and explained that the subject property and surrounding properties within the city limits are zoned for agricultural use. He stated that this area was part of the Algoa annexation area in November, 2003. Mr. Barron explained that much of the property located along Route J is developed as single family residential and the area lends itself well to further single family residential construction. Mr. Yarnell moved and Mr. Bickel seconded to recommend approval of the rezoning request for 3030 Route J, to the City Council. Background Information:The subject property is a vacant tract located on the north/west side of Route J approximately 900 feet north of Algoa Road.
