SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The billing cycle of payroll generated benefit vendors does not fit with the regularly scheduled Council
meetings. Waiting until the next regularly scheduled Council meeting causes a delay in the City's ability to
pay the benefit vendors in a timely manner; putting some policies at risk of cancellation. Staff has compiled
a list of benefit services that are provided as part of the City's comprehensive benefit package. Since benefit
providers sometimes change during open enrollment, specific benefit vendor names were omitted.
Council is requested to adopt Resolution 11-08 authorizing the Treasurer to pay the listed payroll generated
benefits as necessary. The Treasurer will pay the bills for the purpose listed, and submit the bills to Council
for ratification at the next regular Council meeting.
Attached is Resolution 11-08.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution 11-08 to authorize the City Treasurer to pay payroll generated benefit bills, and authorize
the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
