SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Association of Idaho Cities and the Idaho State Historical Society oversee the Idaho Heritage
Program, which recognizes cities that encourage preservation and interpretation of the cultural heritage.
Currently, 32 cities in Idaho have this designation. The program identifies 14 evaluation criteria and a
municipality must meet 7 of those criteria to achieve designation.
The McCall Historic Preservation Commission believes that McCall can meet these criteria and is
supportive of submitting the application.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the submission of the Idaho Heritage City Program application and authorize the Mayor to sign
any necessary documents.
