Santiago RESOLUTION NO. 16-9135 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, IMPOSING A 90-DAY MORATORIUM ON CERTAIN CITY SPENDING; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, The City is experiencing a financial challenge; and WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City to impose a 90-day spending moratorium. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference; Section 2. A 90-day moratorium hereby established, as set forth below, on the following: A. No credit card spending by Commissioners B. No travel unless it is an emergency to meet with State official in Tallahassee, FL or Federal officials in Washington, D.C. C. No conventions, including the Florida League of Cities D. No State of City of the City Address E. Each Commissioner may only gas their vehicle once per month Resolution No. 16-9133 Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
