RESOLUTION NO. 16-9136
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA,
EXTENDING THE TIME REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A
FINANCIAL RECOVERY PLAN TO GOVERNOR OF THE
STATE OF FLORIDA, FROM JANUARY 14, 2016, TO
FEBRUARY 16, 2016; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION
OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, has a
duty to submit to the Governor of the State of Florida, a financial recovery plan; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,
Florida, approved the submission of a financial recovery plan to the Governor of the
State of Florida by January 14, 2016 (Exhibit "A" Resolution No. 15-9115); and
WHEREAS, Additional time is required to submit a financial recovery plan.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1.The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Commission of the City of Opa-locka,
Florida, hereby extends the submission deadline of a financial recovery plan to the
Governor of the State of Florida to February 16, 2016.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
