SUMMARY STATEMENT:
On June 1, 2011 at 11:00 am bids for construction of the Deinhard pathway were opened. Five sealed bids
were received. Granite Construction of Cascade, Idaho was the apparent low bidder. Granite Construction
submitted a base bid of $59,550.57 and an alternate bid #1 of $33,992.79. Alternate bid #1 is for paving.
Based on the Granite Construction bid, the total cost of construction would be $93,543.36 which is within
the budgeted amount for this project.
The attached contract has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney. Also attached are the projects
bidding plans.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the contract with Granite Construction of Cascade, Idaho for construction of the Deinhard Pathway
and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
