SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Council adopted a tentative budget in the amount of $15,159,213 on July 22, 2011.
Attached is the proposed FY12 budget of $15,159,213 which includes the growth and annexation property tax
amounts from the County Clerk, the 3% property tax increase, and the available forgone amount. Attached is the
Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) developed this year as part of the budget development process. Should the
Council decide to take the 3% property tax increase and the available foregone amount, staff is recommending these
amounts be applied to the identified capital projects included on the CIP. The CIP identifies necessary capital
improvements and capital projects as well as outlines the funding sources for these projects. Should the Council
decide not to take the 3% property tax increase and/or the available foregone amount, the CIP also identifies the
projects that will be affected or cut by a decrease in these revenue sources.
The recommended FY12 Local Option Tax (LOT) funding from the LOT Commission including the funding
adjustments as recommended by the Council on July 22, 2011 is also attached.
