SUMMARY STATEMENT:
At the August 11 Council meeting, there was an agenda item to discuss the potential annexation of a number of
residential enclaves and the authority to annex these areas. A memo from the City Manager, dated August 4,
2011, was provided for that discussion.
Four areas were identified and discussed for Category A annexation: Timber Crest Countryside, Deinhard
Lane/Payette River parcels, Wanda Avenue/Davis Avenue parcel, and Ski Ranch Subdivision and nearby
parcels. Information for each of these four areas along with the staff recommendation is provided in the attached
memo with Exhibits.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
1. Direct staff to begin the process of Category A annexation for the Timber Crest Countryside
subdivision and the parcels located to the west and north depicted on Exhibit C.
2. Direct staff to begin the process of Category A annexation for the approximately 14 acres of the
Payette River, the 1.7 acres owned by the City, and the 5.3 acres of undeveloped residentially zoned
land depicted on Exhibit D.
3. Direct staff to not pursue annexation of the 18.7 acre property depicted on Exhibit E.
4. Direct staff to not pursue annexation of the Ski Ranch Subdivision and nearby parcels to the west
depicted on Exhibit F.
