SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of McCall has a contract with the Idaho Office of Energy Resources (OER) to install solar
systems on public and private buildings in McCall. The City has contracted with Aurora Power to design
and install those systems, and has individual contracts with private business partners related to a cost share
for the system installation.
Since the OER grant award, several project partners have decided to withdraw, which will necessitate
contract changes which may include changes in the amount of the contracts and the completion time of the
contracts. Staff have consulted with the City Attorney who has advised that the Mayor be given
authorization to sign any necessary change orders with OER as well as Aurora Power and private partners
if necessary, in order to allow the project to move forward.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary change orders for the Renewable Energy Enterprise Zone
contract with OER, contract with Aurora Power for design and installation of solar systems, and private
partner contracts for cost share of systems.
