SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Public Works owns the current photocopier located in Public Works office. However, it is limited in its
capability to do large format color 11" x 17" needed for mapping and engineering requirements. Currently
the only color printer is an HP Deskjet printer that is old, uses expensive ink cartridges and only prints on
8-1/2" x 11" paper. With the lease of a new photocopier, the existing photocopier will go to Water Plant
which is currently without a printer or scanner.
We obtained a proposal from our current vendor, Ikon Office Solutions. After discussing the specific
public works and engineering needs, a Ricoh Aficio MPC3001 was selected.
The Public Works photocopier will be added to the existing lease with Ikon Office Solutions for the City
Hall photocopier. The 2008 State and Local Government Master Agreement (previously signed and also
clean legible copies attached) will remain in force.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the contract with Ikon Office Solutions for the lease of a Ricoh MPC3001 copier and authorize
the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
