SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall Historic Preservation Commission has worked diligently to identify
commercial buildings in the McCall area that might be eligible for listing on the National
Historic Places. In 2005, a CLG grant paid for a "windshield survey" to identify a
buildings that might be eligible. In 2011, a CLG grant paid for a historic preservation
refined the list of buildings. In September, 2011, Ann Swanson and Tricia Canaday
Historic Preservation Office toured the McCall area with staff and recommended that
survey" of several properties be performed to gather enough information about the building
whether a nomination is possible. The SHPO staff agreed that there were several buildings
could be nominated to the Register.
Grant funds would be used to hire a consultant that is qualified to do historical research

Approve submission of a FY12 Certified Local Government grant application and authorize the Mayor to
sign all necessary documents.
