SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The John Deere 1545 Rotary Mower with new 72" flex deck, new cab with heat and windows, and a 61"
snow blower will replace the existing JD 1145 unit that has been down all summer. A short term, 8 month
lease to purchase the unit this fall for winter snow removal is acceptable because the lease will be paid in
full within the same fiscal year. The lease is necessary due to LOT funds not being available until April or
May. A down payment will be made in October using funds from the FY12 Golf budget and the
remainder will be paid in May when LOT funds become available.
The Lease Agreement has been reviewed and approved by Bill Nichols, City Attorney.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the 8 month lease with John Deere Financial and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary
documents
