SUMMARY STATEMENT:
MetroEthernet service provides the City with reliable, high -capacity internet. The prior 3-year
MetroEthernet services contract expired during FY 11. This agreement continues a similar level of service,
with the following differences.
• First, the term is one year rather than three.
• Second, the monthly recurring charge will be $980 rather than $1,250.
• Third, an additional service providing a dedicated connection between the McCall Police
Department and the Valley County Courthouse / Sheriff is included within the stated monthly
recurring charge.
The third item represents both a substantial budget savings to the McCall Police Department and an
expected improved level of service for both McCall Police and the Sheriff's Department.
The last (schedule) page of the agreement has been included by staff to supplement Frontier's newly
amended agreement language, which was provided without the original product schedules. As a result,
page numbering is incorrect on the schedule page.
The Agreement has been reviewed and approved by Bill Nichols, City Attorney.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Agreement for Frontier Services and authorize the Mayor to sign the Agreement.
