, OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
. HIS DULY APPOINTED A�ENT TO INSPECT INDIVIDUAL
SALES TAX REPORTS MAINTAINED BY THE STATE
; BOARD OF EQUALIZATION" •� '
The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby resolves
as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood would like to.have a check I ,
, .
made of its taxabTe sales records with emphasis upon a comparison
between sales revealed by the 1g6,3 census.of business and sales
credited to Lynwood tiy' State Board of Equalization, and
' WHEREAS; Section 705b of the Revenue Code protects
the confidential nature of the records, it'also provides that an
officer or employee of'the city may.inspect the'individual tax
-'reports if authorized to do so by resolution of the legislative ._
, body. �
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Manager or his
duly authorized representative is hereby granted.the autho.rity .
, inspect.the sales tax records at Sacramento on behalf of the '
City of Lynwood in order that a comparison cari be made between
• ,:the census results of"the State Board of,Equalizatiori reports.. .
It is requested that this authorization be applicable beginning
•.' in the month of`IVovember, 1965 whenever inspection of tax records
is�mutually convenient to the staff.of-the State Board and the
CiEy-Manager of the City of Lynwood or his authorized representa-,

Announcing a statewide Governor's Conference on Planning for Housing
and Homeownership, January 31st-February lst, 1968, E1 Dorado Hotel,
Sacramento.
Housing, particularly homeownership, and the need for adequate plan-
nir.g to maintain good housing inventory, is a matter of increasing
concerr,thmughout the State of California. Although the responsi- �
bilities for planning and housing production are basically those of
local government and private industry, the need is great for all •
segments of California to meet and exchange ideas regarding this
. subject,
This conference, there£ore, has as its objectives: I
... bringing private industry and local and state governments to-
gether to identify the impediments to a vigorous and stable I
housing market;
... discussion of the outicok for housing in 1968; ;
... stimulation of an acrareness of the need for adequate long- I
range planning Por housing; �
... discussion of the General Plan housing element as required by I
California Statutes;
... to foster and promote greater attention to homeownership
concepY; and
... to provide a forum for the timely exchange and dissemination
- of ideas and new concepts regarding housing.

however, Governor Reagan w_ill address the conf.erence at the February I
