Member Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.00-34
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Medina Police Department enter into a grant agreement
with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety for the project entitled
"SAFE AND SOBER COMMUNITIES," during the period from October 1, 2000 through
September 30, 2001.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Edgar Belland, Chief of Police for the Medina
Police Department, is hereby authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to
implement the project on behalf of the City of Medina Police Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT Paul Robinson, Administrator -Clerk -Treasurer,
City of Medina, is hereby authorized to be the fiscal agent and administer this grant on behalf of
the Medina Police Department.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Johnson
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Hamilton, Johnson, and Smith
and the following voted against: None Absent: Zietlow
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
