Member Zietlow introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.00-41
RESOLUTION CERTIFYING
THE PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX LEVY FOR 2001
AND ESTABLISHING THE DATES, TIME, AND PLACE
FOR THE TRUTH AND TAXATION HEARINGS
WHEREAS, city staff has prepared a preliminary budget for the operations of the City of
Medina for the calendar year 2001; and
WHEREAS, the Medina City Council has determined that a property tax levy in the amount of
$1,155,199 is necessary to meet the needs outlined in the preliminary budget;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council adopt a preliminary tax levy
of $1,155,199 for taxes payable in 2001 and that this amount be certified to the Hennepin
County Auditor as required by Minnesota State Statutes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an Initial Truth in Taxation Hearing be held December
4, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. in the Medina City Hall and, if necessary, a Continuation Hearing on
December 11, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. in the Medina City Hall. The subsequent hearing for adoption
of the final levy and budget will be on December 19, 2000 at 7:30 p.m. in the Medina City
Hall.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Johnson
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Johnson, Smith, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None Absent: Lane (arrived shortly after 9:00 p.m.)
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
