A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTTY
OF LYNW00D APPOINTING SPECIAL COUNSEL FOR
- AN UNDETERMINED PERIOD.
WIIEREAS, the duly appointed City Attorney of the City
of Lynwood is,unable to perform his duties for an undetermined
period of time as a result of the need for surgery, it is found
that,
" l. neither the Personnel Ordinance nor the Personnel
Rules and Re�ulations provide For such a
contingency,
2. it is absolutely essential that the city be served
with competent legal counsel,
3. and arrangements have been made by che City Attorney
' ', to provide a substitute'special counsel to serve
• , as Acting City Attorney;
' NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of.Lynwood does hereby appoint John J. Cayer, Attorney
, at Law, to serve without compensation as special counsel and
Acting City Attorney during the absence of Howard Hemenway. The �
regular salary paid to Mr. Hemenway will continue throughout
his absence or until otherwise terminated by minute action of
the City Council. Finaneial arrangements have been made between
Mr. Cayer and Mr. Hemenway and no salary or other benefits shall
directly accrue to Mr. Cayer From the city during his tenure as
special counsel and Acting City Attorney.
