HomeMy Public PortalAbout64-043 (06-03-64) _ . . _ � � �� RESOLUTION N0. 64-43 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION; BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING IT TO i HE ITS IDtTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES THAT PORTION OF THE FIRST ALLEY EAST OF ALAMEDA S�REET, EETWEEN CENTURY BLVD, AND lOSTH STREET, CITY OF LYNWOOD, IN TRACT N0 5418 MAP BOOK 5g, PAGE 42, RECORDS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY. The City Council of the City of Lynwood, California, hereby resolves and ordains as follows: "�'�� ' ' Section 1: That portion of the first alley east of Alameda Street, lying between Century Blvd. and 108th Street, as shown on Tract No 5418 Map Book 59, Page 42, Records of Los Angeles County, within the corporate limits of the City of Lynwooc� is unnecessarg for present or prospective public street purposes and that the public interest, necessity, and convenience require, and the City Council o£ said cit� hereby declares its intention to vacate and abandon that portion of said alley. Section 2: That said portion of alley as above described, .. ____being in the City of Lynwood, is shown on the official map of the City o£ Lynwood, at the office of City Clerk of said city, to which all parties interested are referred for particulars as to the proposed vacation and abandonment. Section 3: That the City Council elects to proceed in said vacation and abandonment under Section 8300 to 8324 inclusi've, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali£ornia, as amended. Seetion �: The,City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby determine that the public convenience and necessity require that an easement be retained for construction and maintenance of utility lines within the limits o£ the alley vacation as des- cribed in Section 1. - 1 - � . . L Section 5 . That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood is hereby directed to give and post, as required by law, notice of the passage of this Resolution o£ Intention, and give therein the legal description of said alley proposed to be vacated and abandoned, and specify the time and place of hearing of this Resolution of Intention, which is hereby fixed as follows: The hearing to be before the City Council of the City of Lynwood, at 11330 Bullis Road, in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall o£ said City of Lynwood, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. o'clock, July 7 1964 at which time and place all persons interested I� may appear and ob,ject or protest to the proposed vacation and �I abandonment of said alley. Section 6 . After the passing and adoption of this Reaolution of Intention, the City of Lynwood shall forthwith cause a certified copy thereof to be pub lished once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper printed and circulated in the City of Lynwood, California, passed and adopted at the regular June 3, 1964 meeting o£ the City Council of the City of Lynwood, California. ti � , � - , ' , � ay�5� .��,.� - i � `r .. -.
