RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CIRCULATION OF PETITIONS
REQUESTING THE ANNEXATION OF ATLANTIC AVENUE
ANNEXATION N0. 4 TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD.
WI-IEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Lynwood
did, on the 9th day of April, 196j, recommend to the City Council
that the unincorporated territory bounded by Atlantic Avenue on the
east, First Avenue on the west, Josephine Street on the north, and
Agnes Avenue on the south, be annexed to the City of Lynwood, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did, on
the 16th day of April 1963 consent to the commencement of annexa-
tion proceedings to annex said territory, and
WIIEREAS, the Boundary Commission of the County of Los
Angeles did, on the 18th day of March 1964 approve the proposed
boundariee of said area s to definiteness and certainty, and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County o£ Los Angeles did, on April 22, 1964, approve the annexa-
tion o£ said territory, and
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of May Zg64 there was £iled
with the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood an affidavit of publica-
tion that said notice of intention to circulate petitions relating
to the annexation of said territory to the City of Lynwood was pub-
lished in the Lynwood Press on the 21st day of May 1964
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED tha't receipt of the affi-
davit of publication is hereby acknowledged and approval is hereby
given for the circulation of petitions for the annexation of said
• territory as hereinafter de,scribed, '
That said territory is hereby designated as '�Atlantic
Avenue Annexation No. 4," and is described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of
Atlantic Avenue, 90 feet wide, as said center line is shown on map
of Tract No. 8716, recorded in Book 145, pages 63 and 64 of Maps,

in the of£ice of Lhe Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, with
the easterly prolongation of the north line of Josephine Street,
80 feet wide, as shown on said map, said point being on 'the boundary
line of the City of Lynwood as said boundary existed on the lOth day
- of January Zg64 thence, southerly along said ceni;er ].ine and con-
tinuing southerly along the center line of Atlantic Avenue, g0 feet
wide, as shown on map of Tract No. 8242, recorded in Boolc 115, pages
55 and 56 of said Maps, to the intersection of the center line of
Agnes Street, 100 £eet wide, shown as Broadway on said last mentioned
map; thence, westerly along said last mentioned center line to the
intersection of the center line of First Avenue, 60 feet wide, as
shown on said last mentioned map; thence, northerly along said last
mentioned center line to the intersection of the center line of said
Josephine Street; thence, easterly along said last mentioned center
line a distance of 159 £eet to the southerly prolongation of the
center line of the first alley west of Atlantic Avenue, 20 £eet wide,
as shown on map of said Tract No. 8716; thence, northerly along said
prolongation a distance of 40 feet to the north line of said
Josephine Street; thence, easterly along said north line and pro-
longation thereof to point of beginning.
That proceedings for the anneaation of said territory shall
•be in accordance with "The Annexation Act of 1913,�� as amended,
