' RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD OVERRULING PROTESTS TO THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY OF THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES LYIPdG ON THE WEST.SIDE OF VIRGINIA AVENUE
, BETWEEN CORTLAND AVENUE AND WALNUT AVENUE
(ATLANTIC AVENUE ANNEXATION N0. 5).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City o£ Lynwood did, by
Resolution No. 64-35, adopted on the lgth dav of May, 1964, duly
" give notice of and fixed the 7th day of July Ig64 at rhe hour of
7:30 p.m, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 11330 Bullis
Road, Lynwood, California, as the day, hour and place when and where
' any person owning real property within such territory so proposed to
be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation
might appear before said City Council and show cause why such ,
territory should not be so anne:�ed, and
, ` WHEREAS, said Reaolution No. 64-j5.was publiahed in the
' Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and pub-
lished in the City of Lynwood, and also in the Herald American, a
newspaper of �eneral circulation published outside the City of Lynwood
but in the county in which i.� located the territory proposed to be
annexed, and
WI�REAS, said public hearing was held at the day, hour and
place, and in the manner set forth in �aid Resolution No. 64-j5, and
- WHEREAS, no person owning real property within sueh terri-
tory so proposed to be anne�ed appeared before the City Council to
show rause why such territorJ should not be so annexed, i

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
` City of Lynwood as £ollows: I

Section l. That the Ci•ty Council does herebf appro�ie �aid �

proposed annexation of the uninr_orporated territory of the County of
Los Angeles lying on the west side of Virginia Avenue between
'Cortland Avenue and Walnut Avenue, known as "Atlantic Avenue Annexation No.
5," and more particularly described in said Resolution No, 64-35•
