RESOLUI'IOei OF INT�ITION TO APPROV� AN
AMEDIDMGNT TO CONTRACT BE ��N THE
BOARD OF ADNffNISTRATION OF THE
STATE �MPLOYL',ES � RETIRII�Th'NT SYSTEM AND THE
CITY COIINCII,
OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD
WHGRE_AS, the State Elnployees� Retirement Iaw permits tho participatiom
' of public agencies and their employees in the State Eanployees�
Retirement System by the execution of a contract,�and sets
£orth the procedure by which said public agencies may elect
to subject themselvos and their employees to amendments to
said law; and
ti�IIiEREAS, one step in said procedure is the adoption by the legislative
body of the public agency of a resolution giving notice of I
its intention to approve an amendment to said contract� which �
resolution shall contain a. surr¢lary of the changes proposed '
in said contract; and
Z+Tl�'REAS, attached is a statement o£ the proposed change:
1. A monthly allowance shall be naid to certain sur�i.vors
o£ a member who dies before retirement.
NOid, THGREFORE, BE IT RTSOI,PID, that the CITY COINCIL of the CITY OF
LYNld00D gives, and it does hereby give notice of intention
to approve an amendment to contract between said CITY COUNCIL
and the Board o£ Administration of the State ESnployees�
Retirement System, a summary o£ the major changes o` the
proposad amendment and a copy of said amendment being
attached hereto, marked Exhibits '�A�� and '�B'� 'and by this
reference made a part hereo£.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of July, 1964
