' RESOLUTION No, 64-65
A RESOLU'I'ION OF THE INCORPORATED CITY OF' LYNWOOD
ESTABLISHING Tl�X DISTRICT NUMBER 1 OF SAID CITY,
FIXING THE RATES OF T1�XES, AND LEVYING TAXES FOR
' THE FISCAI, YEAR BEGINNING JULY l, 1964, AND ENDING •
�ru1vE 30, ig65.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood, California, does
hereby resolve as follows;
Section 1, Ta� District No. l. That for the purposes of
taxation, all of that territory and lands lying and being in the cor-
. porate Timits of the City of Lynwood, Cali£ornia, prior to February l,
Zg6�t be knotivn as and constitute Taa District No. 1 0£ said city.
Section 2, That the amount of money necessary to be raised
� by ta�ation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of
the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of California, in
Tax District No, 1 0£ said city, to�provide for earrying on the various
, £unetions of municipal government in said city for the fiscal year
beginning July l, 1964, and ending June 30, 1965; is hereby fixed at �
the sum of Two Hundred Thirty-two Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-four and
One One-Hundredth Dollars ($232
Section j, That in ac3dition to the amount of money necessary
to be raised as aforesaid, the amount of money necessary to be raised
by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of
said city in Ta� District No. 1 of said city to provide for the payment
to the State EmployeesF Retirement System according to the terms of
contract with the State of California for making the officials and
employees of the City of Lynwood members of the State Employees.t
Retirement System, authority £or the esecution of said contract as
granted by Ordinance No. 426, adopted by a vote of the qualified
electors of the City of Lynwood the 16th day of April 1g46 for the
fiscal year beginninb July l, 1964, and ending June 30 1965 is hereby

a fixed at the sum of Sixty-seven Thousand Two Hundred Eleven and
Sixteen One-hund,redths Dollars ($67,211.16),
Section 4 , That for the purpose of raising the sum of
money neces�ary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property
within the city limits of said City of Lynwood as the revenue to
carry on the functions of the various departments of said city, to
provide payment to State Employees� Retirement Fund as authori'zed in
Ordinance No. 426 the rates of taxes are hereby fixed and taxes are
„ hereby levied on al1 taKable property �vithin the city limits of said'
city ineluded in Tax District No, l, for the £iscal year beginning
July l, 1964 and ending,June 30 1965 upon each $100.00 of the
' assessed value of said property as assessed by the County Aasessor and
• equalized by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, for the said fiscal year, as follows:

Section 5, Pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 608
adopted by the City Council of aaid city on the 16th day of February,
1954 the City Council does further resolve that the City Treasurer has

filed with it a report that there is in the "Swimming Pool Bonds 1954
Interest and Redemption Fund" of the treasury of said city, a sum suf-
ficient to pay the interest on said bonds as it falls due, and such
part of the principal as will become due for the fiscal year beginning
July 1, 1964, and ending June 30, 1g65,
Section 6 . The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward
' immediately to the County Auditor-Controller of Los Angeles County a
certified copy of this resolution.
Section 7 . That the City Clerk of said city shall cerLi£y

- once in the Lynwood Press, a weekly newspaper of general cireulation,
