RESOLUTION N0, 64-73
RESOLUTION ABANDONING THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT
OF LOS FLORES BOULEVARD BETWEEN LONG BEACH BOULE-
VARD AND IMPERIAL HIGHWAY BY THE WIDENING OF SAID
BOULEVARD, TOGETHER WITH ALL INCIDENTAL AND
APPUR`I`ENANT WORK,
WI-IEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did, on
the 18th day of August ig64 adopt its Resolution No, 64-66 approving
the report of the City Engineer and fixing the time of hearing on
the matter oF the proposed improvement of Los Flores Boulevard between
Long Beach Boulevard and Imperial Highway, and
WI-IEREAS, the City Clerk of said city has presented and
£iled his affidavit of mailing notice of said hearing on debt limit
report in the time, form, and manner, and to the persons, all as pro-
vided by an act of the Legislature o£ the.State o£ California, desig-
nated as Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code and cited as the
"Special Assessment Investigation Limitation and Majority Protest Act
of 19j1," and amendments thereto, and
WHEREAS, Tuesday, the 6th day of October, 1g64 at the hour
of 7:30 p.m. at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City of
Lynwood was the time and place set in said resolution when and where
any objections to the proposed work or improvement or to the extent
of the district to be assessed would be heard by said City Council,
a nd
WHEREAS, at said hearing held on the 6th day of October,
1964 ma,jority protests were filed against the things proposed under
Resolution No. 64-66,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the
City of Lynwood that the said City Council has considered all facts
and testimony and protests filed against said proposed work.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the protest filed constitutes
a majority protest as defined by Section 2930 of the Special Assessment

and Majority Protest Act of 1931, and that said Council hereby declares
said improvement to be abandoned and that no further proceedings as �
outlined in said Resolution No. 64-66 shall be taken for a period of
' one year from this data. '. • � .
