RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYN'W00D ADJOURNING THE DECEMBER 15 1g64
�3EGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BATEMAN
-. HALL, COMMUNITY SERVICE BUILDING, 11j31 ERNESTINE
AVENUE, LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA. ,
- WHEREAS, at the public hearing set by the City Council for
7:30 p.m. on December 15 1g64 on an appeal from a decision of the
Plannind Commission of said City reconunending to saic� Council that
a zone change be denied, a large number of persons desiring to hear
and be heard has appear.ed at said council chambers, and
' WI�REAS, the space and facilities of said chambers is insuf-
ficient to accommodate all of said persons, and.
WI�RE:RS, the Chief of the City Fire Department and Deputy
State Fire Marshal have notified the City Council that they cannot
permit crowds to assemble in halls of the City Hall in such numbers,
and
WHEREAS, an emergency exists due to the number of persons,
� attending said hearing, requirino the continuance of the hearinb
outside of the Council chambers, and
WHEREflS, ��1ze�Ci�y�u.Council is authorized by Ordinance No. 766
'_ to ad�journ meetings of the City Council to some place outside the
' Council chambers of the City Hall, and
WHERE�S, Eateman Hall in the Conununity Service Building, 113�1
. Ernestine Avenue, is convenient and of sufficient capacity to accom-
modate the persons desiring to hear and be heard:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,
Section l.' The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
order t a sai meeting be adjourned and coutinued to �aid Bateman
' Hall at 8:00 p.m, on this date, December 15 1g64 for the purpose of
conducting a public hearing on the appeal filed by the applicant of
the Planning Commission Decision, to recommend to the Council, denying
the Southern California Association of Seventh-Day Adventists'x request
for a change of �one from zone R-2 to �one C-2 of approximately 11.55
� acres of the applicants property fronting on Imperial Highway.
Section 2'. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to post a copy
of this or on the door of the Council chambers, and to place an
employee of the City on duty in the Council chamUers,to�c�irec�t and
'. instruct any and all persons who come to the Council chambers that said
meeting and hearing is being held in said Bateman Hall.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolut o� n. •
