RESOLUTION NO. 16-9163
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, REQUIRING THE CITY
MANAGER TO PRESENT HIS FINDINGS RELATED TO
THE PROPOSED RECOVERY PLAN AT THE SPECIAL
COMMISSION MEETING ON MARCH 17, 2016;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Opa-locka, Florida is experiencing financial
challenges; and
WHEREAS, The City Manager presented a proposed Financial Recovery Plan
for the City for discussion at a Special Commission Meeting/Workshop on March 3,
2016; and
WHEREAS, upon review of the Proposed Financial Recovery Plan, members
of the City Commission inquired about various points of the plan and directed the
City Manager to present his findings on those points at the next Special Commission
Meeting.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. The City Commission hereby directs the City Manager to report his
findings based on the inquiries of the members of the City Commission at the next
Commission Meeting, which is scheduled for March 17, 2016.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption
