RESOLUTION NO. 16-9171
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, REMOVING THE WORD
"INTERIM" FROM THE TITLE OF THE CITY MANAGER;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City Commission of the City of Opa-Locka, Florida,
recognizes that David Chiverton has been highly effective in the performance of his
duties since being appointed as "Interim" City Manager; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission, in recognition of the efficient manner in
which Mr. Chiverton has met the responsibilities of his new position, desires to
remove the interim status from Mr. Chiverton's position and acknowledge him as
the City's Manager; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission believes that it is in the best interest of the
City of Opa-Locka to remove the interim status from the City Manager's position
and title in acknowledgement of the effectiveness of his efforts thus far.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-Locka, Florida, hereby
formally removes the "interim" status from Mr. David Chiverton's position title.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of March, 2016.
