A RESOLUTION.OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF',
LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, CODTFIRMING THE REPORT OF
THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS OF SAID CITY,
DATED FEBRUARY 5 1g63 RELATING TO CERTAIN
5IDEWALK REPAIRS ,.
WI-rEREAS, under the provisions of Article 2,'Chapter 22,
. part 3 of Division 7 of the•Streets and Hi�hwa.ys Code of the Sta.te
of California (Improvement Act of 1911}, the Superintendent of
Streets of the City of Lynwood did duly�and regularly notify tlie�
respective owners or persons in possession of the respective
properties described in'the report of said Street Superintendent
hereinafter referred to,'that the sidewa,lk or drive a.pproach in
front of such respective properties was out of repair and notify-
ing such owners or persons in possession to repair the same, al1'
in the manner�a,s contemplated in sa.id law above referred to; and
WHEREAS, thereafter said owners or persons in possession
of said respective properties failed to make such repairs within the
time contempla.ted-by la.w or at a.11; a,nd .
W`dER�AS, thereafter the said Superintend'ent of Streets did
cauae the respective repairs to be made •to the sidewa.lk in front
of such respectiye properties and did keep a record of the cost
of such repairs, including the incidental expenses thereof, and
did prepa.re and file with the said City Council a. report specifying
the repairs which had been so made, the cost of such 'repairs and
� a description of each; parcel of'real property in.front of wnich
such repa.irs had been ma.de and the a.ssessment a.gainst ea,ch lot or

parcel of land proposed to be levied�to�pay the cost thereof; and
WHEREAS, a.s.contempla.ted by law, said.Superintendent of
Streets did cause notice of the said�cost of�'such•repairs to be '
mailed to the respective owriers or persons in possession of said
, respective properties a.nd did in such notices give further notice
that on the 5th day of Februa�y 7963 beginning at the hour of
7:30 o'clock p.In., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall.of,the
' City of Lynwood, Ca.lifornia, the Council of the said city would
hear and pass upon the said report of the Superintendent of Streets
o£ the said cost of such repairs together with any objections or
protests which might,be raised by a.ny property owner liable to be
assessed for the cost and incidental e_�penses of,making such
repairs and the obje'ctions or'protests of a.ny other interested•persons;
and
WHEREAS, on the said 5th day of February, 1963 said City
� Council did'proceed to hold'said he'aring and did duly and regularly
conduct the same a1T as contemplated by 1aw; and
WHEftEAS, no protests or objections of any kind were made,
�•' presented or filed in such matter; "'.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOL��E, DECLARE, FIND, DETERMINE AND
• ORDER AS FOLLOWS: , �
Section l . That the facts with reference to said matter as
recited in the preamble to this resolution are true. '
Section 2 . Tha.t,said City Council does hereby confirm the
' report of said Street Superintendent which is on file in:the oifice
of the City C].erk o° said City and open to publi�c inspection and
. which is referred to and incorporated by reference herein and is
in words and figures as follows: .

Pursuant to the authority granted me as Superintendent o£ Streets
of the City of Lynwood,:under,�the provisioris of. the Improvement

possession of the property frontin� on the following described

under the alternative method of collection provided for under the

• order tYiat the Notice of Lien shall be delivered to the County
Auditor of Los Angeles County, California, who shall enter the.

,. � cription of the.particular.property and the amount shall be collected
together with all 'other taxes"thereon•against the property. Said '
' County Auditor, and the Assessor and the Tax Collector of said

directed and ordered to take any and all action necessary"or proper

of the laws of �the State of California in such cases made and ,

Section 5 , Said,County Assessor, said County Tax Collector
and said County Auditor are hereby authorized, instructed, directed
and ordered upon receipt of such notices of lien to receive the
same and thereafter proceed to add the respective amounts of the
respective assessments indicated in said respective notices of
lien as hereinabove set forth in said above quoted report of said
• Street Superintendent, to the next regulaz° bill for t�es levied '
against the respective lots or parcels of land therein described '.
or r,eferred to and to enter the respective amounts thereof on the
County Assessment Book opposite the respective descriptions of the
respective particular properties described and referred to in said
respective notices of lien as set forth in said report and the .
�respective amounts thereof shall be collected with all.other taxes
thereon against the respective properties described. Said County
Officers, and each of them, are hereby further authorized, in-
' structed, directed and ordered to periorm any further acts on their
respective parts all as contemplated under the law in such cases
made and provided.
Section 6 . That_ this resolution shall take eff.ect immediately.
� Section 7. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
,passage and adoption of this resolution; shall make a minute of the
pa.ssage and adoption thereof in�the records of the proceedings of the
� City Council,of said City in the,minutes of the meeting at which time
the same is passed and adopted; shall enter the same in the Book of
original resol�,ations of said City; and shall cause a certified copy
thereof to be delivered to each of said respective County Officers
above named. �
