Member Jim Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption.
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.00-60
RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES
FOR 2000 PAYABLE IN 2001
WHEREAS, the City Council has prepared a budget for the operations of the City of Medina for
the 2001 calendar year, containing appropriations out of the General Fund of $ 2,294,698; and
WHEREAS, the anticipated revenues for the 2001 calendar year, including Homestead and
Agricultural Aid(HACA), is $ 2,294,698; and
WHEREAS, a Truth in Taxation hearing was held on December 11, 2000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, County of
Hennepin, Minnesota, that a property tax levy of $ 1,093,671 (not including HACA) be levied upon
the taxable property in the City of Medina for taxes payable in 2001 and herein authorize Paul
Robinson, Administrator -Clerk -Treasurer for the City of Medina to certify this resolution to the
County Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jim Lane
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Johnson, Lane, Smith, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

Resolution 00-42 RESOLUTION APPROVING A LEVY CERTIFICATION TAX RATE
INCREASE FOR THE 2000 TAX LEVY, COLLECTIBLE IN YEAR 2001, duly adopted by
the City Council of the City of Medina on September 5a', 2000, at a regular meeting thereof duly
called and held, as on file and of record in my office, which resolution has not been amended,
modified or rescinded since the date thereof and which resolution is in full force and effect as of
the date hereof.
