RESOLUTION NO. 16-9172
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, IMPOSING A
MORATORIUM ON ALL UNBUDGETED CITY
EXPENDITURES EXCEPT THOSE SPECIFICALLY PRE-
APPROVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION; PROVIDING
FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Opa-locka, Florida is experiencing financial
challenges; and
WHEREAS, The City must be diligent in its efforts to financially recover by
reducing any unnecessary and/or unbudgeted spending; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission finds that it is in the best interest of the
City to impose a moratorium on all unbudgeted expenditures except those pre-
approved by the City Commission.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby imposes a moratorium on all
unbudgeted City expenditures, except those pre-approved by the City Commission,
until further notice by the City Commission.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption
