RESOLUTION NO. 16-9173
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, IMPOSING A
MORATORIUM ON ALL FEE AND COST WAIVERS
EXCEPT THOSE SPECIFICALLY PRE-APPROVED BY THE
CITY COMMISSION; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION
OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Opa-locka, Florida is experiencing financial
challenges;
WHEREAS, The City must be diligent in its efforts to financially recover by
reducing any unnecessary and/or unbudgeted spending;
WHEREAS, The City Commission finds that it is in the best interest of the
City to impose a moratorium on all fee and cost waivers except those pre-approved
by the City Commission..
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. The City Commission hereby imposes a moratorium on all fee and
cost waivers, except those pre-approved by the Commission, until further notice by
the City Commission.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption
