AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, ESTABLISHING
PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTION DATES IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, FOR 2009.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Chapter 115 RSMo., 2009 Municipal Elections are hereby
established for the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as follow:
(a) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, February 3, 2009, if needed.
(b) A General Election shall be held Tuesday, April 7, 2009.
(c) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election Authorities of the candidates
for office and election dates.
(d) The following officials shall be elected in accordance with the Charter and
Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri
WARD OR AREA OFFICE TERM
Ward One 1 Council Member 2 year term
Ward Two 1 Council Member 2-year term
Ward Three 1 Council Member 2-year term
Ward Three 1 Council Member 1-year(unexpired) term
Ward Four 1 Council Member 2-year term
Ward Five 1 Council Member 2-year term
Citywide City Prosecutor 2-year term
Citywide Municipal Judge 2-year term
Section 2. Declarations of Candidacy and Candidate Endorsement Forms must
be filed with the City Clerk between 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, and 5:00
p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2008.

Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
