RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK AND DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE INVITING BIDS IN THE
� MATTER OF•THE �IMPROVEMENT OF BEECHWOOD AVENUE
BETWEEN CALIFORNIA AVENUE AND LYNWOOD CITY PARK
BY THE REMOVAL OF EXISTING CURB AND GUTTER AND
BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER
AND DRIVEWAY APPROACHES, TOGETHER WITH ALL
INCIDENTAL AND APPURTENANT WORK,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
as follows:
Section 1 , In the opinion of said City Council the public
interes't and convenience require, and said City Council having
acquired jurisdiction so to do, the following work or improvement is

hereby ordered to be done, to wit:
Removal of trees, cement concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks,
driveways, and storm drain catchbasins, and construction of cement
concrete curbs, gutters, driveways, sidewalks, and storm drain catch
basins, including all incidental and appurtenant work, in Beechwood
Avenue between the center line of California Avenue and the east line
of Tract No, 2551 as recorded in Book 24, page 79 of Maps, Records of
Los Angeles County, in accordance with plans and specifications No.
lg6z-w-3 on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City of Lynwood,
Section 2. All of the work or improvement aforesaid shall be
done as contemplated in Resolution of Intention No. 63-26 of the City
Council of said city, and to Plans and Specifications No. 1962-W-3, to
which reference is hereby made for further particulars.

Section 3 . Said proposed work or improvement, in the opinion
of said City Council, is of more than local or ordinary public benefit
and said City Council hereby determines and declares that the district
to be benefited by said work and improvement, and to be assessed to
pay the costs and expenses thereof, is particularly described in

Resolution of Intention No. 63-26. Reference is hereby made to said
Resolution of Intention and to Plan No. 1g62-w-4 for further particu-
lars as to the extent of the assessment district,
Section 4 , The proceedings £or the aforesaid work and
improvement shall be had and taken under an act of the Legislature
of the State of California designated as the Streets and Highways Code,
Division 7, and cited as the "Improvement Act of 1911," and amendments
thereto.
Section 5. The City Council hereby determines and deelares
that serial bonds shall be issued in the form and manner provided in
said aforementioned act, bearing interest at the rate of six (6) per
centum per annum +o represent each assessment of Fifty Dollars ($50,00)
or over, remaining unpaid for thirty days after the date of warrant,
Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine years from
the second day of January next succeeding the next September 1 follow-
ing their date. Said bonds and interest thereon shall be paid at the
office of the City Treasurer of said city and shall be disbursed by
him, all as provided in said act.
Section 6 . The City Clerk shall cause to be published a
notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the above described
work or improvement in the time, form and manner required by law,
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of May 1g63.
