RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCTL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION
OF THAT CERTATN PROPERTY IN THE UNINCORPORATED .
TERRITORY OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES LYING
ON THE WEST SIDE OF VIRGINIA AVENUE BETWEEN
BEECHWOOD AVENUE AD3D ELMWOQD AVENUE (ATLANTTC
�VENUE ANNEXI�TION N0, 3). ,
WHERE4�S, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri=
tory Act of 1939," as amended, there has been presented to the City
� Council of the City of Lynwood, California, a petition dated May�3,
1963, executec3 by Isatiel Talbert, et aI, requesting the annexation
of certain property lying on the west side of Virginia Avenue between
Beechwood Avenue�and Elmwood Avenue, in the'County of Los Angeles,
State of California, and.lying within the following described
' boundarie�: '
Beginning at a point in the, easterly line of the Lynwood
city boundary as said boundary existed on February 26,
1g63 said point being the southeast corner of Lot 72, �
Tract No, 7984, as shown on map recorded in Map Book 90, .
�pages 34, 35 and 36 , Records of L, ,�, County, State of
California; thence South 70 57 50" East 135 £eet to �
the southeast corner of Lot 163 of said tract; thence
North 19 OOL East 180 feet to the northeast corner of �
�. Lot 165 of said tract; thence North 70° 57t 50" West
along the northerly line of said Lot 165 and the
westerly prolongation thereof 135 feet to the easterly
line of said Lynwood city boundary; thence South.l9 OOI�
West 180 feet to the point of beginning,
WHEREAS, said territory is uninhabited, unincorporated
territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood, and ,
- WHEREAS, said petition is.signed by the owners of not less

than one-fourth of the area of land in such territory and representing
not less than one-fourth of the assessed value of such territory
aceording to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the
County of Los Angeles, State of California, in which territory is
situated,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section l . That pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory'Act of 1939,�� as amended, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood hereby gives notice of said proposed annexation,
Section 2 , Said territory is hereby designated for identi-
fication as "Atlantic Avenue Annexation No, 3�"
c Section 3 , Said City Council hereby gives notice of and
fixes the 2nd day of July 1963 at the hour of 7:30 p,m, in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, Lynwood,
California, as the day, hour, and place when and where any person
owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed
and having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear be£ore
the City Council of said City of Lynwood and show cause why such
territory should not be so annexed.
Section 4 , The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a
copy of this resolution to be published once a week for two (2)
successive weeks prior to said hearing, in the Lynwood Press, a news-
paper of general circulation, printed and published in said City o£
Lynwood, and also in the Herald American, a newspaper of general cir-
culation published outside of the City of Lynwood but in the county
in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed,
Section 5 , The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause
written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to each person
to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is assessed
)
in the last equalized county assessment roll at the address shown on
said assessment roll, or as known to said. Clerk, and to any person
who has filed his name and address and the designation of the lands
in which he has any interest with said Clerk,

Section 6, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
