A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COIINCIL OF'THE �' .
CITY OF LYNWOOD SELECTING MAJOR CITY STREETS
� WHEREAS, the provisions of Sections 2050 to 2055 Chapter
2, Division 3 of the Streets and Highways Code provides that each
city council shall select a system of major city streets, on the
basis of'greatest general city importance, subject to the approval
.of the Sta,te Department of Public'Works; and, '
WHEREAS, streets may be included in or excluded from the
city system of major city streets subject to the approval in each
ca.se of the State Depa.rtment of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to revise the existing system to
conform to present and anticipated traffic patterns;
THEREFORE, it is resolved by the city council of the City
of Lynwood that the�following named streets are selected as ma,jor
city streets to be included in the major city street system:
_ Atlantic Avenue from north to south city limits
El Segundo Boulevard from Santa Fe Avenue to
Alpine Avenue,
. RESOLVED, further, that the State of California, Depart-
ment of Public Works, is hereby requested to approve the above �
revision to the major city street system.
AND FURTHER that,all prior resolutions, or portions thereof,
establishing major city streets in conflict with this resolution
'�are hereby repealed.
