RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD OVERRULING PROTESTS TO THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY OF THE COUNTY OF LOS �
ANGELES LYING ON THE WEST SIDE OF VIRGINIA AVENUE
BETWEEN BEECHWOOD AVENUE AND ELMWOOD AVENUE
(ATLANTIC AVENUE ANNEXATION N0. 3).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did by
Resolution No. 63-38, adopted on the 21st day of May ig63 duly
give notice of and fixed the 2nd day of July 1g63 at the hour of
7:30 p.m, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 11330 Bullis
Road, Lynwood, California, as the day, hour and place when and where
any person owning real property in such territory so proposed to be
ann2xed and having any objections to the proposed annexation might
appear before said City Council and show cause why such territory
should not be so annexed, and
WHEREAS, said resolution No. 63-38 was published in the
Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and
published in the City of L,ynwood, and also in the Herald American,
a newspaper of general circulation published outside the City of
Lynwood but in the county in which is located the territory proposed
to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, written notice of said proposed annexation was
mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed to
be annexed was assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll
at the address shown on said assessment roll, and
WHEREAS, said public hearing was held at the day, hour and
place and.in the manner as set forth in said Resolution No. 63-38 and
WHEREAS, no protests have been filed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City o£ Lynwood as follows:

Section 1, That protests have not been made by a majority
of the owners o£ property within the area proposed to be annexedc
to the City of Lynwood,
Section 2, That the City Council does hereby approve said
proposed annexation of the unincorporated territory of the County of
Los Angeles lying on the west side of Virginia Avenue between Beechwood
Avenue and Elmwood Avenue, known as "Atlantic Avenue Annexation No, 3"
and more particularly described in said Resolution No. 63-38.
