CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.01-11
RESOLUTION VACATING DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENTS
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina, Minnesota has called a public hearing
regarding the vacation of drainage and utility easements located on property legally described on
Exhibit A attached hereto, which easements are legally described on Exhibit B attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, notice of the hearing was published in the official newspaper and posted
according to law; and
WHEREAS, the easements to be vacated were dedicated on the plat of Cates Ranch and
will be replaced by similar easements to be dedicated with the plat of Cates Ranch Second
Addition; and
WHEREAS, on February 6, 2001, the city council held the public hearing on the vacation
of the described drainage utility and street easements, at which public hearing all interested parties
were given an opportunity to be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota as follows:
1. The city council hereby finds that vacation of the described easements is in the
public interest and declares that the drainage and utilities easements legally
described on Exhibit B attached hereto are vacated.
2. The administrator -clerk -treasurer is authorized and directed to prepare and present
to Hennepin county the notice that the city council has completed these vacation
proceedings and request that the same be reflected in the county's records.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Jim Lane
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Lane, Smith, Workman, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
