CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.01-12
RESOLUTION GRANTING FINAL APPROVAL OF THE
PLAT OF CATES RANCH SECOND ADDITION
WHEREAS, Wallace Cates and Erica Cates (the "Applicants") are the fee owners of land
in Medina located near the intersection of T.H. 55, Willow Drive and Chippewa Road (the "Subject
Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Applicants have entered into a stipulation (the "Stipulation") with the city
of Medina (the "City") regarding the settlement of certain litigation; and
WHEREAS, the Applicants have applied for final approval of the plat of Cates Ranch
Second Addition; and
WHEREAS, the Stipulation required that the Applicants join with the City to replat the
Subject Property so as to relocate the westernmost extension of Chippewa Drive and to dedicate
said portion of the roadway and other right of way to the City; and
WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the staff and city council for compliance
with the ordinances of the city and the terms and conditions of the Stipulation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina,
Minnesota, that final approval be granted to the Applicants for the plat of Cates Ranch Second
Addition, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. The Applicants must execute the plat and cooperate in filing it with Hennepin
County within 60 days of the date of this resolution or the approval hereby granted
shall be null and void.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Phil
Zietlow and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Lane, Smith, Workman, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
