CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.01-14
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 326 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 326, adding
a new section 833 to the city's code of ordinances establishing an industrial park zoning district; and
WHEREAS, the industrial park zoning district ordinance is approximately 25 pages in
length; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and
summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and
WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the
public of the intent and effect of the new industrial park zoning district ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that
the city administrator -clerk -treasurer shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 326 to be
published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance:
Public Notice
The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 326. The ordinance
establishes a new industrial park zoning district. The purpose of the district is to provide an
attractive, high quality industrial park primarily for high quality manufacturing and assembly,
warehousing and non -retail uses with harmonious transitions to residential uses. The ordinance
establishes permitted, conditional and accessory uses within the zone. It establishes development
standards which are applicable to all uses and some which are specific to each permitted or
conditional use. The ordinance recognizes that most of the property which will be placed within
this district is already developed but that existing buildings may be enlarged or changed in the
future. The full text of Ordinance No. 326 is availaa spection at Medina city hall during
regular business hours.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the city
administrator -clerk -treasurer keep a copy of the ordinance in his office at city hall for public
inspection and that he post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Carolyn
Smith and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Lane, Smith, Workman, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
