CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.01-21
RESOLUTION GRANTING PRELIMINARY LAYOUT APPROVAL FOR
CSAH 101 FROM TH 55 TO COUNTY ROAD 47
WHEREAS, the City of Medina and Hennepin County Public Works have been in
negotiations concerning the layout for improvements of CSAH 101; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County Public Works has prepared a preliminary layout for the
improvement of parts of CSAH 101 within the corporate limits of the City of Medina, from TH
55 to Hackamore Road and seeks approval thereof; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County is also asking for authorization to acquire all rights -of -
way, permits and/or easements proposed in the preliminary Layout No. 1; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County is also asking for an agreement by the City to ban
parking of motor vehicles at all times and to provide enforcement for the prohibition of on -street
parking for those portions of Project No. 9823 within Medina's corporate limits; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota approve the preliminary layout for the improvement of CSAH 101 within the
corporate limits of the City of Medina with the condition that the County come back and report
to the City by June 5th on their right of way acquisition, layout design, and ability to work out
any right of way and access issues with the landowners in a fashion amenable to both.
BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED that Hennepin County Department of Public Works is
hereby authorized by the City to acquire all rights -of -way, permits and/or easements required for
said improvements.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Medina agrees to ban the parking of
motor vehicles at all times and will provide enforcement for this prohibition of on -street parking
for those portions of Project No. 9823 within the corporate limits of the City of Medina.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Zietlow
And upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Lane, Smith, Workman, and Zietlow
And the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted.
