CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.01-25
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 334 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 334, an
ordinance adding a new section 834 to the city's code of ordinances establishing the Uptown Hamel
planned unit development zoning district; and
WHEREAS, the Uptown Hamel planned unit development zoning district ordinance is
approximately 20 pages in length and contains maps; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, section 412.191, subd. 4, allows publication by title and
summary in the case of lengthy ordinances or those containing charts or maps; and
WHEREAS, the city council believes that the following summary would clearly inform the
public of the intent and effect of the new Uptown Hamel planned unit development zoning district
ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that
the city administrator -clerk -treasurer shall cause the following summary of Ordinance No. 334 to be
published in the official newspaper in lieu of the entire ordinance:
Public Notice
The city council of the city of Medina has adopted Ordinance No. 334. The ordinance
establishes a new Uptown Hamel planned unit development zoning district. The purpose of the
district is to provide an attractive, high quality, mixed -use district for the Uptown Hamel
neighborhood. The ordinance regulates the area as a planned unit development under multiple
ownership and establishes permitted, conditional and accessory uses within the zone. The
ordinance includes a district guide plan which incorporates a map and illustrative drawings of
development within the district. It establishes development standards which are applicable to all
uses and guidelines for public improvements. The ordinance recognizes that most of the property

which will be placed within this district is already developed but that existing buildings may be
enlarged or changed in the future. The full text of Ordinance_ Igo 334 is available for inspection at
Medina city hall during regular business hours.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina that the city
administrator -clerk -treasurer keep a copy of the ordinance in his office at city hall for public
inspection and that he post a full copy of the ordinance in a public place within the city.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Smith and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Lane, Smith, Workman, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None Absent: Ferris
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
