RESOLUTION NO. 16-9204
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO FUND
PAYROLL FROM THE WATER AND SEWER FUND
RESERVES; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Opa-locka, Florida, requires immediate measures in
order to fund future payroll of employees' salaries; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission finds that it is vital to the City's financial
welfare to allow the City Manager to access funds in the water and sewer reserve
accounts in order to fund future payroll of employees' salaries; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference;
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to
access the water and sewer reserve accounts to fund future payroll of employees'
salaries for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2015-2016.
Section 3. The City Manager is required to bring back to the City
Commission a repayment plan within 30 days of the date of this resolution.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
