Member Carolyn Smith introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.01-31
RESOLUTION GRANTING FINAL APPROVAL OF WALDS
INDEPENDENCE BEACH
WHEREAS, Raymond P. Wald and Michael R. Ahlstrom (the "Applicants") are the
owners of property located at 2971 Ardmore Avenue and 4565 Pine Street, respectively, (the
"Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Property consists of two adjacent single family residential lots which
the Applicants wish to replat so that each lot contains 9000 square feet; and
WHEREAS, preliminary plat approval was granted to the Applicants on January 2, 2001;
and
WHEREAS, the Applicants have requested final plat approval, which plat has been
reviewed by city staff for compliance with city ordinances and the terms of preliminary plat
approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the city of Medina,
Minnesota, that final approval be granted for the plat of Walds Independence Beach, subject to the
following terms and conditions:
1. The existing shed on Lot 9 (Ahlstrom) be moved so that it is located a minimum of 5
feet from the rear lot line;
2. The Applicants must pay the city an administrative fee in the amount necessary to
reimburse the city for the cost of reviewing this application; and
3. The Applicants must file the final plat with Hennepin County within 60 days of the
date of approval of this resolution or the final approval hereby granted shall be null and void.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bruce
Workman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ferris, Lane, Smith, Workman, and Zietlow
and the following voted against same: None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
