A RESOLUTIOPI OF THE CITi' COUNCIL OF THE CIT�i
OF S�'NWOOD AMEPdDING RESOLUTION PdO. 61-43 TO
PROVIDE OVERTIME PAY FOft FIRE DEPARTMENT
PERSONNEL UNDER SPECIFIC CONDITIONS.
The City Couneil of zhe City of Lfnwood does hereY�J
resolve as follows:
Sectioii l : Due to the i°esigna.tion a.ncl retirement of
two personnel £rom trie Fire Department and the a.nticipated resigna.-
tion of oi�e additional firema,n, an ina,dequa,te iire-figliting force
will result. Since no available firemen'S emplo3�nient list e�ists
it will he necessar�i tv require double shifts in order to ma.intain
prcper strength.
Se ction 2 : Due to tY�e resulting si�e of tlie department
a.nd the a.dditional shift loa.d requix�ed to cover for sicic leave and
other uiisorseen events it wi11 be impossible to grant compensating
time of£ for those working overtima shifts within a. rea.sona.ble
period; tl��erefore,
Resolution No, 61-43 is amendecl to provide overzime pay
on an established shi£t-pa;T ba.sis vaheii�.the Fire Department line
opera.ting force is reduced by la,yoff, resi�nation, or retirement
to twenty-two (22) or less personnel, said pa�r to be granted onl�
upon approva.l of the appointin� authorit;� at the Ner shift rate
esta,blished in Resolution No, 61-43, adopted b;� the City Couilcil
on July. 5, 1961.
