FEET NORTH, BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF Cr,MENT CON-
CRETE CURB AND GUT�ER, TOGETHER WITH ALL INCI-
DENT,CIL AND APPURTENANT WORK,
BE IT RBSOLVED by the City Council of the Citv of Lynwood,
California, as £ollo�as:
WHEREAS, pursuant to an act of the Legislature of the State
of Califor:�ia knowz� as the "Labor Co,le," the City Couneil of the City
of Lynwood is required to ascertain the general prevailin� rate of
per diem wages and the general prevailind rate of per c7iem wages for
legal holidays and overtime work in this locality for each cra£t or
typ� of laborer, worl;man or mechanic needed to execute Lhe proposed
contract for the construction of cem�nt concrete �•urb and gutter,
in�luding all incidental and appurtznant work, on the �ast side of
Ti�orson Avenue between Carlin Avenue and 600 feet north, in accordance

the City Clerk of said City�of Lynwood,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Cit�r Council of the City of Lynwood
doea her2by resolve as follows:
Se�tion l. The Citv Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby ascertain and determine that the general prevailing rate of
hourl� wages, in the ].ocalit� in which said work o.r improcement is to
be done, £or each oraft or type of laborer, wor;cman, or mechanic n��ec7ed
to ezecute the contract for furniahing and delivering certain materials
and supplies in connection with the iniprovement hereinabove described
and in accordance with Plans and Specifications No. 1962-B-j on £ile
in the ofPice of the Cit;� Clerlt of said city, is aa follows:

Overtime Rates: Overtime ratea, rate of pay for Saturdags, Sunda��s
and holidasTS shall appl�r to thoae holidays so recognized in the
collective bargaining ag.reement applicable to the particular craft
classification or t;rpe ol workman employed on the project.
An,y classification o�nitted herein, not less than $2.50 per hour plus
employer payments set forth in the collective bargaining agreement
applicable to the class or classification of the w�rkm3n or merhanic
involved.
Provided that notwithstandind the general provisions con-
tained herein, flagmen, guards and watchmen shall be paid one and
one-half times tihe prevailing rate for overtime (overtime shall be
time worked in excess of eight hours per da,y or forty hours per week),
anc7 the strai�ht prevailing rate for time worked on Saturdays, Sunda,TS,
and holidays where such time does not. constitute overtime.
The foregoing prevailing wage schedule is based upon a
working day of eight hours, and in the event that lab�re�s, worlcmen
or mechanics are emplo;�ed less than eight hours per day, the rate of
per diem wages sha11 be deemed to be that fraction of the fo^egoing
rates that the number of hours of emplo�rment hears to ei�ht.
The rate of compensation for an�� classification not li,�ted
in the schedule, but which ma� be required to e the proposed

work, shall be commenaurate and in accord with the rates specifie�
for similar and comparable classifications or for those performin�
• similar or comparable duties.
