RESOLUTION OVERRULINr,� PROTESTS AND DETERMINING
THAT THE CITti COUSJCIL HAS A�'QUIRED JURISDICTTON
TO ORDER THE PROPOSED WORK OR IMPROVEMENT IN
THE MATTER OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF THORSON AVE?QUE
(EAST SIDE) BFTWEEN THE NORTH LINE OF CARLIN
AVENUE AND 600 FEET NORTH, B`i T'rLE CONSTRUCTION
OF CONCRETE CURBS AND GUTTERS, TOGETHER WITH
ALL I�TCIDENTAL AND APPURTENANT WORK.
WH�REAS, the Cit�� Council of the Ciiy oF Lvpwood did on
the 15th da;1 of Mav, 1952, adopL ita Re�olution of Intention No.
6z-33 ordering the improvement of the east side of Thorson Avenue
between tha north line o£ Carlin Avenue and 600 feet north b,y the
construction of concrete cux�bs and gutters, together with all inci-
dental and appurtenant work, and
WHEREaS, Tuesda;�r, the 19th da�r o£ June, 1962, at the hour
of 7:30 p.m. at the Council ChamUers in the City Hall in said Cit.v of
Lynwood was the time and place set in said R2solution of Intention
when and where an�T ob,jertiona �o the p_°opo�ed work o.r improvement, or
to the extent af the dis�rict to be assessed, or to the orades to
which the work was proposed to be c7one would be h�ar� b;a said Citv
Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerlr of said city has hereto£ore pre-
sented and filed an affidavit o£ publication of said Resolutio�� of
Intention, chowing thaz the same was puUliShed according to law, and
WHERBAS, said Cit�r Clerl: has also presented and filed his
af£idavit of mailing notices of the adoption of said Resolution of
Intention 3n the time, form, and manner, an�7 to the persons, all as
procided by an Act of the Legislature o£ the State o£ California,
designated as Division 7 of the Streets and Highway� Code, and cited
as the "Improvement Act of 1911," and amendments thereto, and

WHEREAS, the City Engineer-Superintendent of Streets has
heretofore presented and filed an afFidavit showing that notice of
the passage of said Resolution of Intention has been posted in the
manner provided by said Act, and
WHEREAS, at said hearing held on the 19th dav of June,
1962,no protests were filed against any oF the things propo,�ed to
be done under said 3esolution of Intenl,ion No. 62-33.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood that said protest is hereby overrule� and that the
said City Council hae acquired full jurisdiction to order the pro-
posed work or improvement.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this l9th day of June 1962.
