RESOLUTION NO 62-40
RESOLUTION ORDnRING THE WORK AND DIRECTING THE
CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE INVITItVG BIDS IN Ti�
MATTER OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF THORSON AVENUE
(E9ST SIDF) BETWEEN Ti3E NORTH LINE OF CARLIN
AVENUE AND 600 FEET NORTH, BY THE CONSTRUCTION
OF CONCRETE CURBS AND GUTTERS, TOGETHER WITH
ALL INCIDEIVT�L AND APPURTEN.�NT WORK,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lynwood
as follows:
Section l. In the opinion of said City Council the public
interest and convenience require, and said City Council having
acquired jurisdiction so to do, th� followine �ork or improvement is
hereb,T ordered to be done, to wit:
Construction of cement concrete curb and cement concrete
gutter, including al1 incidental and appurtenant worlc, on the east
side of Thorson Avenue 1Jing between the center line of Carlin Avenue
and the northerly cir,y boundarJ, as said boundary existed M�y 15 1g52
in accordance with plans and specifications No. 19�2-B-3 on file in
the office of the City Clerk of said City of Lynwood.
Section 2 . All of the work or improvement afor2said �hall
be done as contemplated in Resolution of Intention No. 6 of the
City Council of said city, and to Plans and Specifications No. 1962-B-3,
to which reference is hereby made for further particulars.
Section 3. Said proposed wor� or improvement, in the opinion
of said Citv Council, is of more than local or ordinarJ public benefit
and said City Council hereby d�termines and declares thar the district
to be benefited by saic� work and improvement, and to be assessed to
pay the costis and expenses thereof, is particularly described in
Resolution of Intention No. 62-3j, Reference is hereby made to aaid
Resolution of Intention and to Plan No. 1962-B-4 £or further particu-
lars as to the extent of the assessment district,

Section 4. The proceedings for the aforesaid work and
improvement shall be had and taken under an art of the Legislature of
the State of Califo:»nia designated as the SLre2ts and Highways Code,
Division 7, and cited as the "Improvement Act of 1911," and amendments
thereto.
Section 5, The City Council hereby c�etermines and declares
that serial Uonds shall be issued in the form and manner provided in
said aforementioned act, bearing interest at t,he rate of sis (6) p�r
centum per annum to represent each assessment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00)
or over, remaining unpaid for thirty daYs after the date of warrant.
Said serial bonds shall extend over a p2rioc] encling nine vears from
the second day of Januarv next succeeding the next September 1 follow-
ing their date, S=�id bonds and interest thereon shall be paid at the
office of the City Treasurer of said cit� and sha11 be disbursed by
him, all as provided in said act,
Section 6. The Cit�r Clerk shall cause to be published a
notice inviting 5ealed proposals or bids for doin� the above de,cribed
work or improvement in the time, form and manner required by law.
