A11 courses o£ study must ha.ve prior approva,l by the department head and City Manager in order to receive premium credite Accredited schools are herein defined as college:, junior colleges or universities or sLich other institutions a.s may be a,pproved by the Cifv Ma.nager. Suitable written certificat�on from the �chool showi.ng satisfa,ctory completion of each course sha.11 be submitted to the Personnel Officer for personnel records. Premium pay wili commence -6- the £irst pay period a.fter the first of the month fo].lowing the �submission of the written certifica.tion. The Ci�y will contribute 50� of the cost of tuition where the cost of such tuition exceeds the sum of $10.00 per semester course while the employee is accruing the $20.00 per mon�h maximum premium pa,y, _. .
