A RESOLUTION OF THE INCORPORATED CITY OF LYNWOOD
, ESTABLISHING TAX DISTRICT iVUN[2ER 1 OF SAID CITY,
FIXING THE RATES OF TARES, AND LEVYING TAXES FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY l, 1962,.?iAND END-
ING JUNE 30, 1963. �
The Cit�T Council of the City of Lynwood, California, does
hereby resolve as followa:
Section l . Tax District No. l. That for the purposes of
ta�ation, all of that territor,y and lands lying and being in the cor-
porate limits of-the Cit� of Lynwood, California, prior_to February l,
1962, be ltnown aa and constitute Tax District No. 1 of said cit�,
Section 2 . That the amount of money necessary to be raised
by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of
the CitzT of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of California, in
Tax District No. 1 of said city, to provide for carrying on the various
_ functions of municipal government in said r1ty for the fiscal �Tear
beginning Julv l, 1962, and ending June 30 1g63 is hereb;,� fixed at
the sum of Two Hundred Twenty-one Thousand Four Hundred Eighty-nine
and Thirt�-nine One-hundredths Dollars ($221 ,48g.39)•
S ection 3 . That in addition to the amount of money neces-
, sar�r to be raised as aforesaid, the amount of mone;� necessarJ to be
raised b�r taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate
� limits of said city in Tax District; No. 1 of said cit�r to provide for
the pagment to the State EmploveesE Ret,irement S�rstem according to the
terms of conr,ract with the State of Cali£ornia for making the offieials
and emplo;�ees of the City of LJnwood members of the State EmploJeest
Retirement System, authority for the execution of said contract as
granted by Ordinance No. 426, adopted bv a vote of the qualified electors
of the Cit� of L�rnwood the 16th da� of April, 1946, for the fiscal year
beginning Jul;= l, �962 and ending June 30 1963 is.hereb;v fixed at
the sum of Eighty-three Thousand Eight Hundred Fift;,r and Eighty-seven
One-hundredths Dollars ($83 ,850.87). .

Section 4 . That for the purposes o£ raising the sums of
money necesear� to be raised bf taxation upon the ta�able property
, within the city limits of said Cit�l of L�nwood as the revenue to carrv
on the function5 of the various departments of said citi�J, to provide
pa;,rment to State Employeest• Retirement Fund as authorized in Ordinance .
No. 426, the rates of taxes are hereby fixed and taxes are hereb�T levied
' on all taxaLle propertzj within the cit� limits of said city, included �n
� Tax District Number 1 for the fiscal year beginnind Julg l, 1962,and
ending June 3Q, 1963, upon each $100.00 of the assessed value of said
- propert� as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized by the Board
of Supervisors of the Count,v of Los Angeles, State of California,
for the said fiscal year, as follows:
For General Purposes $0.42
For Cityts contribution to State
Retirement Fund authorized at
Election held April, 1946 $ 0.16 .
Total $0.58 •
- S ection 5 . Pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 608,
adopted b,V the City Council of said city on the 16th day of February,
1954 the Citg Council does further resolve that the Citv Treasurer
has filed with it a rep,ort that there is in the "Swimming Pool Bonds,
1g54, Iriterest and Redemption Fund" of the treasury of said city, a
swn sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds as it falls due and
such part of the principal ae will become due for the fiscal vear
`' beginning July l, 1962, and ending June 30, 1963.
Section 6 ., The City Clerk is hereb�r directed to forward
` immediatel� to the Count� Auditor-Controller of Los Angeles County a
certified copy of this -resolution. '
